What Real Healing Looks Like for Women: Beyond Yoga, Green Juice, and Instagram Wellness
Hi there, it’s Lori
Let’s take a moment together.
Because there’s something I want you to hear, especially if you're in a season of healing:
Healing doesn’t always look like yoga, green juice, or Pinterest-worthy routines.
Sometimes it looks like doing the bare minimum.
Sometimes it’s crying in the shower or canceling plans without guilt.
Sometimes it’s just making it through the day and honoring yourself.
And that, my friend, is still healing.
What Real Healing Looks Like
In this highlight-reel world, we’re sold a version of “healing” that’s clean, aesthetic, and curated.
You know the look:
Fresh smoothie bowls
Breathwork by the beach
A perfectly lit yoga flow
But here’s the truth for so many women, especially those in midlife:
Healing isn’t always beautiful.
It’s often quiet. Private. Messy. Nonlinear.
Signs You’re Healing
You might not recognize it in the moment, but healing is happening when:
You pause before saying “yes” out of habit
You let yourself feel without rushing to “fix it”
You rest without apologizing
You say “I’m not okay” out loud, and let others help
You stop performing and start listening to your body
That’s not being lazy. That’s not failing. That’s recovering from years of emotional depletion and survival mode.
Healing Is Nervous System Work
Real healing goes beyond affirmations; it lives in the body.
It looks like:
Letting yourself take up space
Saying no even when your voice shakes
Releasing the shame around needing help
Taking a nap instead of pushing through
Breathing into discomfort and letting it pass
This is how we regulate our nervous system and start feeling safe again. Not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually too.
The Healing Journey Isn’t Linear
One day you’re journaling your breakthroughs.
The next day, you’re eating cookies and watching Netflix in bed.
And you know what?
Both are sacred.
Healing isn’t a straight line, it’s a spiral. You circle back to old wounds not because you’ve failed, but because you're peeling another layer with deeper awareness.
Give yourself permission to heal at your pace.
There’s no gold star for rushing.
Gentle Support for the Real Work
I support women like you. Women who are tired of spiritual bypassing and want something deeper. Something real.
Inside my coaching, we focus on sustainable, nervous-system-led healing. We don’t chase perfection. We honor your capacity, your truth, and your sacred timing.
So, if you’ve been healing quietly behind the scenes, this is your reminder:
You’re not behind.
You’re not weak.
You’re not failing.
You’re healing.
And that is holy work.
With love, Lori
